This week’s topic: Introducing Virtual Pen Pals – Never Feel Lonely Again!
Senior Planet participant Milt Haynes is on a unique mission to combat loneliness and social isolation by helping other older adults discover the therapeutic power of supportive relationships. A simple act of kindness, such as exchanging messages on the Senior Planet Community (SPC), can really brighten the day of fellow Senior Planet Community (SPC) members, boost emotional well-being and enhance their quality of life.
As a 71 year old senior and card carrying member of the “over the hill gang”, Milt was looking for an online community to meet people, make friends and nurture friendships. As an SPC member, Milt found a friendly and welcoming community that he would like to introduce to others. In this session, Milt will share how you can experience human connection through Virtual Pen Pal (VPP) friendships.
