Daphne E. Jones, Vice President, IT and CIO for Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Veridex, and Therakos Operating Units at Johnson and Johnson
 

Daphne E. Jones currently is WW Vice President, IT and CIO for Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Veridex, and Therakos Operating Units at Johnson and Johnson, and sits on the WW Global Management Board.

Johnson & Johnson, with approximately 120,000 employees, is the world's most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of health care products, as well as a provider of related services, for the consumer, pharmaceutical, and medical devices and diagnostics markets. Johnson & Johnson has more than 200 operating companies in 57 countries, selling products throughout the world.

Some of Johnson & Johnson’s product offerings include, Johnson Baby Oil, Baby Shampoo, Neutrogena Products, Aveeno, Reach Toothbrushes, Dental Floss, Drug Coated Stents, Blood Analyzers, Sutures and Wound Closure Devices. New to the J&J portfolio of products are the former Pfizer Brands such as Listerine, Lubriderm, Benadryl and Sudafed.

In her role as VP IT, Daphne and her diverse IT team are responsible for enabling the $2 B operating company to achieve and sustain market leadership through the use of technical solutions across multiple functions around the world. She and her team help define & ensure implementation of strategies and processes designed to deliver increased market share, revenue, profitability and overall business value. She is a member of the WW Global Management Board, and is accountable for the worldwide solution strategies and technology portfolio.

Since she joined Johnson and Johnson in 1997, Daphne has served as Director, then Executive Director at several other Johnson & Johnson companies—including Consumer & Personal Care Group—Skillman, NJ, and J&J Corporate Headquarters—New Brunswick, NJ.

She has served as a member on Franchise Operating Committees of Adult Skin Care and Johnson Baby/Kids.

Daphne joined Johnson & Johnson after 14 years with IBM, and 3 years with PSE&G Utility.

She serves as commissioner on the NJ Advisory Commission on the Status of Women for NJ Governor Jon Corzine, is a 2006 Global Standards of Leadership Awardee, a J & J TWIN Award Recipient, former co-chair of the J& J African American Leadership Council, and served as Steering Committee Member of the J&J Women’s Leadership Initiative. Daphne is a member of Society for Information Management, and was recently the J&J Champion for NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers). She is a motivational speaker and life coach, a mentor and in her spare time, loves to read and is a certified deepwater scuba diver.

Daphne received her BS in Business Administration (Marketing) and her MBA (Management) from Illinois State University.

She and her husband, Rev. George M. Jones, reside in Montgomery Township, New Jersey. Their son, Jared is a Junior at Morehouse College, and Ashley, their daughter is a Sophomore at Colorado College. Elder children, Dana and Chad, are graduates of Villa Nova and Harvard University, respectively.
