Steelcase Inc. the global leader in the office furniture industry http://www.steelcase.com/na/careers_ourcompany.aspx?f=19092
Thank you for the email note. Steelcase, Inc. is planning to have summer 2010 IT internship opportunities available for students. I am very interested in reviewing resumes of any students you know of that are seeking internship opportunities. I started my career at Steelcase as an intern, and the internship program and opportunities are a great experience for students to apply what they learned in the classroom to real-life projects.
Steelcase’s summer internships will be located in Grand Rapids, MI. We typically offered a stipend to help offset a portion of the housing or transportation costs for our interns. All of our internships are paid, and we partner with a local housing company to provide information to interns trying to find housing and other living essentials for the summer.
We are very open to having interns come from outside of West Michigan, and we do a nice job accommodating them as they move here for the summer. Steelcase offers a wonderful internship experience, and students will end their internship with a solid understanding of how a global company functions and how their role in IT impacts the entire company.
I have attached a generic internship position description with this email highlighting different areas within IT where we would have opportunities available for students. I appreciate your help in getting the word out to students about our internship opportunities!
