Shatari Pinson is a Hurricane Katrina survivor and relocated to Chicago to attend grad school at DePaul University.  Shatari just recently received her Masters Degree and is currently in the Information Technology Professional Development Program (ITPDP) at Abbott Laboratories.  Shatari is using her knowledge gained from formal education to apply on the job training at Abbott.  She is currently in her first rotation, where she is providing Business Systems Analyst and Project Management skills to help facilitate project work.

Shatari will finish the ITPDP program in 2 years, where she will continue to work as a Business Systems Analyst and then further her career track into project management. While developing her career, she also wants to give back to the community by providing IT training to the less fortunate. Shatari is a member of Abbott’s Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) corporate chapter and IT-Women’s Leadership Network.
